ANTI-HUMAN TRAFFICKING CAMPAIGN
EARNED MEDIA SPARKED BY DONATED OOH, SOCIAL SUPPORT AND UNPAID INFLUENCERS
THE DISRUPTIVE POWER OF UNFLINCHING TRUTH
Atlanta was the #1 hub for sex trafficking in the U.S. No one talked about it. The city hid behind soft language and euphemisms. Most agencies would have played it safe with gentle "awareness" ads. I did the opposite. Our strategy team identified that only a gut-punch would break the civic denial. I led a campaign designed to refuse the status quo. We didn't want to raise eyebrows. We wanted to raise hell.
I commissioned a Swedish dollmaker to create haunting, hollow-eyed visuals to stand in for the victims. I wrote the headlines that confronted the city’s complicity directly. With a zero-dollar budget, I pitched and secured 25 high-visibility billboards and total transit saturation through donated media. I galvanized a coalition of survivors, governors, and celebrities to amplify the message. The results were immediate. The campaign was cited in the Governor’s public address and ran alongside the largest trafficking bust in Atlanta’s history. We helped rescue 200 children. We proved that when you stop softening the reality, you start saving lives.
The Results:
-
200+ children were rescued during the campaign’s run.
-
$0 media budget converted into 25+ billboards and total MARTA saturation.
-
Millions of unpaid impressions through earned media and celebrity alliances.
-
Political Impact: Acknowledged in the Georgia Governor’s public address.
